About the Fellowship

The program aims to enhance scientific exchange between Saudi and international scientists. Awarded fellows will contribute to mission-driven research focused on:

• Reducing the incidence of infectious diseases in Saudi Arabia by 50% by 2035.
• Lowering the prevalence of non-communicable diseases by 50% through prevention, management, and treatment by 2035.

Eligibility Criteria & Funding

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a Saudi citizen affiliated with a Saudi university or research institution at the time of application.
• Hold a PhD (or equivalent terminal degree) from an accredited institution, completed within the last 5 years.
• The research topic must align with one of the designated focus areas.
• A letter of support from the applicant’s employer is required at the time of application.

Funding & Support:

• Amount: Up to 750,000 SAR per candidate, covers stipend, health insurance, and relocation.
• Duration: Up to 2 years.
• Fellowship Start Date: Fall 2025.
